MadameBastet-Firing-Neurons

A Prayer for the Grey Season

The Madame has been very sick. She still is.
She lies in bed, doing her best Camille impression.
The fever brings delusions and dreams.
Her life is in flux; she is possibly changing her
entire credential program and her kitty is
having surgery on Thursday morning.
The Madame feels as if a vampire has bled
her dry. To sleep, to sleep, perchance to
dream.

The Madame would like to take a moment
however
and remember
all those souls who were victims of both Hurricane Katrina
and the absolute inexcusable treatment by this tyranical,
insanely inept and callous government.
God bless those souls who were taken to the other side.
God bless those souls still stuck in some living Hell.
God bless those souls who survived and who struggle to thrive.
The Madame prays for you all.

You're suffering, I'm giggling at it. I'm glad you're doing it in your best Edwardian fashion. It's a pity. With all this talk of throwing parties, and my not inviting YOU, I do not recall receiving an invitation to the frailfest - and I have a ginormous selection of antique hankies! Damn, Queenie, think this stuff through! I could have played the snotty maitre'd calling, "Pity? Party of one?" Hope you feel much improved in the morning. If not, call me and we'll chug some belladonna or something - absinthe, laudenum.

As for katrina, the yin to mother nature's yang, such power is not only terrifying but goes to remind us how very small we really are. and now, with moron in charge, we are even smaller, much like the reflection in cars' passenger side windows tell us.
