MadameBastet-Firing-Neurons

Hot.

Some people say L.A.
is hell on earth.

Now they're right.
119 degrees yesterday
in Woodland Hills.

Welcome to the jungle.

Photo: It doesn't feel like we're 93,000,000 miles away from it.

what always always freaks me out is that during the height of summer, we're the farthest away from the sun we get in our earthly orbit around it! and in the dead of winter, we're the closest. go figure!

Its the weirdest damn thing if you ask me. Last night we went down to the beach to escape the heat up in Palos Verdes. We walked out on Manhatten Beach pier, the wind was blowing off the water and was full of sand, which seemed crazy. Meanwhile, a spectacular thunderstorm developed above PV which everyone watched in awe. We could feel the temp rise 15 degrees as we drove back up the hill, and it never really cooled off all night. We sat out on the patio until 11 or so, we'd feel a cool breeze and then a few seconds later it would be lilke someone turned on the heater again. I'm telling you, it was eerie.
